Matt "Sonny" Suite American Billiard Covering was founded as a family business in 2002 by Matt and his wife of 24 years, Jeannie. After six years of US Marine service, Matt applied his 20+ years of experience and skills in the pool industry, creating American Billiard Covering to provide billiard services to the Southern Maryland and surrounding areas.
Last year, Matt and 3 other partners opened Action Lounge and Billiards, LLC. in Leonardtown, Maryland. Matt is a founding partner in hopes to bring the love of pool and the need for a pool lounge back to the area. His dream has come to fruition. Matt proudly installed and maintains Action Lounge 20+ Diamond Pool tables which have also hosted several 8 and 9 ball tournaments. An avid pool player and frequent pool tournament competitor, Matt understands the needs of any serious player looking to up their game and keep their playing space in premium condition with professional care at an affordable rate. Matt is a certified Brunswick Billiard Technician, certified Diamond Table Installer, a member of The Billiard Congress of America, a member of The American Pool Players Association, and competes in a weekly American Pool Players Association League as well as a Masters League. Matt has experience setting up many complete pool rooms in the area and across the East Coast, and has regular clients as far as North and South Carolina. Outside of the game of pool, Matt is a professional race car driver known as "The Sniper", in his professionally modified car. Matt competes regularly in drag and grudge racing. He has won several East Coast championship drag races. He calls Maryland International Raceway his home Drag strip. When not competing in pool or on the racetrack, Matt is a loving father to three daughters, and recently a first time grandparent to a now two year old baby boy. He and his wife Jeannie also run a small homestead farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks! |

Michael Wathen Michael has been with Matt for almost 3 years now. American Billiard Covering needed someone who was strong, smart, and eager to learn. Michael fits that description perfectly! He and Matt work well together to get your table set up, level, and the work space left clean and tidy.
Michael won't talk your ear off while on the job site. He most likely will be thinking of how the doves are flying outside, or how the deer are running. Michael is an avid hunter. He prefers to use his Bow but will use a Rifle during season. He has one Black lab, Gunner who he has taught to duck hunt. However, Gunner prefers to go to Dunkin Donuts. |
